Google Sunroof Project
Being a big believer in zero-carbon energy, Google’s new sunroof project calculates your roof’s solar energy potential by using its high-resolution aerial maps. However, you must be living in Fresno (San Francisco Bay Area).
By the project, calculations are made without any measurements on the roof. All calculations are made by the system automatically, considering the roof orientation, shades of other buildings and trees, and local weather conditions.
Sunroof Project program also calculates your potential savings when you use solar panels on your roof.
It is a pilot project yet, but I hope that it will be very helpful in controlling global warming.
